Feeding Medina County recently named Janet Newcomer, a lifelong Medina County resident, as the organization’s new executive director.
Newcomer began her new role on Wednesday, filling the position that had been empty for almost six months.
In mid-December, Executive Director Katy Fuerst announced she would step down on Dec. 31 from Feeding Medina County to become a major gifts officer for the Akron Children’s Hospital Foundation.
Feeding Medina County Board President Jamie Marks previously said the search committee was looking for someone knowledgeable about Medina County, seeing as it’s such a connected community.
